Streamline Work Orders
Barcode-driven work order tracking cuts through production bottlenecks and keeps jobs moving from start to close — without leaving the shop floor.
Scan to Start a Work Order
Each work order gets a printed barcode. When an employee scans it, Standard Time® automatically starts the clock on that job, assigns it to the employee, and logs the start time. No computer login required — just scan and go.
Track Progress in Real Time
As work orders move through your shop, managers can see their status on the WIP dashboard — which station each job is at, who is working it, how much time has been logged, and how it's tracking against the scheduled completion date.
Eliminate Production Bottlenecks
When every work order is tracked in real time, bottlenecks become visible before they become crises. If one station is consistently backed up while another sits idle, Standard Time® gives you the data to rebalance your floor before customer deadlines are missed.
Scan to Close and Move On
When a job is complete, a closing scan marks the work order as finished, stops the timer, and makes the employee available for the next assignment. The entire lifecycle — open, in-progress, complete — is captured automatically through barcode events.
Accurate Cost Data for Every Job
Because time is captured automatically at the job level, Standard Time® can calculate actual labor costs per work order and compare them against estimated costs. Over time, this data helps you price jobs more accurately and identify which product lines are most profitable.
