Scan Bill Of Material (BOM) to deduct all inventory items from stock. Follow this logic: A BOM holds a list of inventory items. When you scan a BOM on the shop floor, you're deducting one BOM from stock. But you're also deducting the individual subitems from stock. In other words, each inventory item inside the BOM is deducted. This gives you a good idea how many items you have in stock, which you must periodically confirm with a physical inventory count.
